Printcart: the web-to-print SaaS Netbase builds and runs

Printcart is Netbase's own web-to-print SaaS, and this record shows what we built. Netbase designed, engineered and operates the multi-tenant platform: an online design studio, automatic print-ready files, print order management, and store apps plus an API that plug into any storefront. It covers scope, stack and operation; no performance metric is claimed.

The job Printcart does

Selling personalized print online breaks in three places. The customer has to design the product in the browser, the order has to reach the press as a file production can actually use, and nobody should re-key the order between the storefront and the shop floor. Netbase knows these breaking points first-hand: it has delivered more than 50 custom web-to-print platforms across apparel, packaging, signage, promotional merchandise and corporate B2B portals. Printcart turns that delivery knowledge into a product a print business can subscribe to instead of commissioning from zero.

What Netbase engineered

  • Online design studio

Customers personalize a product with a live preview before checkout

  • Print-ready file generation

Every order produces print-ready output without manual artwork preparation

  • Print order management

Invoicing, real-time order status and workflow control in one dashboard

  • Store apps

Native apps for Shopify, Wix and WooCommerce merchants

  • REST API and webhooks

Custom storefronts create orders and trigger fulfillment automatically

  • Multi-store and multi-vendor

Operators run a print marketplace with several vendors on one platform

  • Fulfillment API

Orders route to print-on-demand fulfillment providers

Architecture and operation

Printcart is multi-tenant by design: one platform serves many merchants, and each keeps its own storefront, catalog, templates and orders. Two integration paths cover the market. Hosted platforms connect through the store apps; custom storefronts and ERP-side tools connect through the REST API and webhooks. That second path is the same integration discipline Netbase sells as systems and API integration, and the service code sits on the backend platforms Netbase uses across its products.

Netbase's cloud toolset spans AWS, Google Cloud, DigitalOcean and Cloudflare. No cloud partner tier is claimed. Operating the product means Netbase owns releases, integrations, merchant support and uptime, not only the first launch.

What the record shows

Outcomes here are qualitative, because no revenue, user or uptime figure is published for this record:

  • A live, multi-tenant print SaaS that Netbase designs, ships and runs itself, drawing on its SaaS development practice.
  • Production-tested modules (design studio, print files, order flow, store apps) that client projects can start from through the SaaS product accelerator.
  • Hands-on answers to multi-tenancy, integration and release questions, written up in our SaaS platform engineering guide.
