What the AI & Data family covers
AI & Data turns data a business already holds into decisions, predictions or automated steps. The work spans five capability areas: machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, generative AI, and AI combined with IoT devices. Around them sits the part that decides whether AI pays off: clean, reachable data, models connected to the systems people use, and accuracy after launch.
This family is for companies that have a concrete process in mind, such as reading incoming files, recommending products or routing work, and want it built into software rather than tried in a slide deck. If a rule-based workflow solves the problem more cheaply, we say so; our commerce operations automation solution shows where rules beat models.

Evidence: what is delivered and what is growing
Capability statements here are a growth capability unless tied to a Work item below.
Delivered AI: 4over4 (online printing, United States). Netbase built a recommendation engine based on browsing and purchase history, alongside checkout, search and automated file conversion work. As reported by 4over4, design-file production time fell 40%, average order value rose 35% and revenue grew 82% within six months. These results reflect all the changes together, not the recommendation engine alone. Read the 4over4 case.
Delivered AI for anonymised clients. Netbase has also delivered a RAG knowledge assistant, a document AI platform and an MLOps pipeline for clients that are not named.
Data and automation foundation: Printcart (Netbase Business Division). Printcart is the web-to-print and print-on-demand platform Netbase builds and runs. It is automation and structured product data rather than AI, and it is exactly the kind of clean, event-rich data an AI feature needs to learn from. See the Printcart record.
Both sit in printing and packaging, where artwork, templates and order files give AI a concrete job. More projects are in our work.
Reusable starting points
Netbase's productized module library already includes a workflow automation toolkit and an AI chatbot and WorkChat integrator, next to a CRM and B2B sales engine, Smart ERP Light, a real estate digital toolkit and an e-commerce accelerator. Where one of these fits the use case, the project starts from it instead of from zero.
The tools we pair with each AI job, from data stores to model hosting, and the trade-offs between them are on our data and AI stack page. We work with models from OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini) and Meta (Llama), among others, chosen per project.
How we engage
AI projects fail most often before any model is trained: missing data, a vague goal or no owner. Our engagement follows the Netbase lifecycle; company-wide change runs as an AI transformation programme.
-
Readiness and use case
We agree the process, the decision the AI should support, the data available and the metric that defines success, with a baseline measured before any build.
-
Data and design
We prepare and map the data, choose between rules, a model or a mix, and design where people review or approve the output.
-
Build and prove
A working feature ships in outcome-based milestones and is tested against the baseline on real cases, not demos.
-
Rollout and care
Training, staged rollout and monitoring, then ongoing support as the data changes.
The cadence is lean and Agile, remote-first from Hanoi in English, with models reached through APIs so no vendor is locked in.

AI-assisted ecommerce operations automation: from paid order to delivered parcel
Ecommerce operations automation removes the manual order, production and fulfilment steps behind a storefront: routing, file preparation, status updates and back-office sync, with AI flagging risky orders and triaging exceptions. It is for merchants and online printers whose order volume has outgrown their staff. In delivered work, 4over4 cut design-file production time 40% and Geo-Tek cut average order processing time 30%.
