Storelly: the D2C commerce SaaS Netbase built and runs

Storelly is the direct-to-consumer (D2C) commerce SaaS that Netbase built and runs for brands that want to sell direct, own the customer relationship and offer custom products. This portfolio record sets out the scope, the modules and how Netbase operates the platform. It claims no sales or savings figures; the one public number is a 15,000+ customer community.

The job Storelly does

Brands that sell through retailers and marketplaces give away three things: the price, the margin and the customer. D2C takes them back, but only if the brand can run its own channels, orders and fulfillment without building a platform first. Storelly is that platform. A brand sets its own prices, keeps its customer data and adds custom product options, all from one account.

What Netbase built

  • Client management

Customer records the brand owns, used to personalize marketing

  • Ecommerce channels

Selling across channels without a retail intermediary

  • Orders and fulfillment

One flow from checkout to delivery

  • Inventory, pricing and distribution

Stock, price and distribution decisions kept under the brand's control

  • Product builder

Custom options on products, so shoppers can make an item their own

The product builder is where Storelly meets the rest of the Netbase commerce family: personalization is a thread that runs through the divisions, and the same thinking shapes client ecommerce development.

Architecture and operation

Storelly runs as a cloud SaaS: each brand works in its own account, and customer and order data belong to that brand. The commerce patterns behind it, channel sync, order flow and customer data, are the ones mapped on our commerce and enterprise technologies page.

Running Storelly means Netbase carries the operating side as well as the build: trial sign-ups, releases, support and the platform's day-to-day health. It is a growth product, and this record describes what exists today, not results.

What the record shows

Outcomes here are qualitative, because no revenue, conversion or savings figure is published for this record:

  • A live D2C SaaS that Netbase designs, ships and runs, with a public 30-day trial.
  • Product builder and customer-data components that can shorten D2C builds for clients.
  • A team that has met the D2C trade-offs first-hand: channel sync, order flow and customer ownership.

When a brand needs more than a SaaS account, such as a multi-vendor model or custom channels, the natural next step is our ecommerce marketplace solution.
