A custom web-to-print website for a product label printer

Netbase, through its CMSmart division, built a label printing business a website from its own page designs and connected the NBDesigner online designer. Customers can buy ready-made labels, edit label templates, design a label from its shape up, or upload finished artwork. The client's name is withheld.

The problem

A label has to stand out on a shelf and carry a brand, and label buyers range from people who want a ready design to brand owners who arrive with finished artwork. A packaged print theme would have been quicker, but this client wanted a site that looked and worked exactly as it had planned. It came with a design file for every page and a flowchart of how ordering should work, and needed the online design part to fit that plan rather than the other way round.

What Netbase built

  • Site to the client's designs

Each page template developed from the client's PSD design files, with suggestions from the developers where a detail could work better.

  • Ready-made labels

A product page of finished label products that shoppers add to cart and pay for directly.

  • Editable templates

A list of custom label products; choosing one opens the design editor with the template, where shoppers set product options and edit or add text and images.

  • Design your own

Shoppers start from the label shape, then choose size, material and other options before designing and ordering.

  • File upload

Customers with finished artwork can upload a design file instead of working through the editor.

How the work was delivered

A consultant first worked with the client to settle every page design, feature and workflow step. The site template was built first, then the features and ordering workflow, with the label-specific options that make a design printable: shape, size and material. Before any demo, the testing team checked each function against the client's description; the client then reviewed the workflow on a demo site.

What is not claimed

The public story names neither the client nor its region and gives no launch or sales result, so this record publishes none. No AI feature is part of this project.
