The problem
Classifieds sites live or die on trust. Buyers leave when listings are fake, offensive or spam, and sellers leave when posting is slow. The founder wanted a marketplace that is simple to post on and search, earns from a small fee per ad, and stays clean without a moderator reading every listing by hand. The platform also had to serve its audience in two languages and grow without a rebuild.

How AI fits the moderation workflow
The AI layer does the first pass, not the final decision. It screens incoming content and flags what looks offensive, so moderators spend their time on the flagged items instead of on every ad, and the admin team keeps the final say. This record does not publish which AI service performs the filtering, its accuracy or the share of ads it flags. The tools Netbase uses for this kind of work are on our data and AI stack page.
How the work was delivered
Delivery ran in six milestones over four months, each opened with a kick-off meeting and reviewed on a staging site before release: consultancy, planning and design; backend and security set-up with a security review; frontend and integrations with cross-device testing; AI moderation and admin tools; testing, multi-language support and SEO; then AWS deployment, handover and training. Six months of support followed, covering security updates, performance reviews, bug fixes and tuning of the moderation workflow. Changes to scope went through formal change orders.
What the record does not disclose
