The problem
Agencies and other small service businesses tend to run on a patchwork: one tool for leads, another for chat, spreadsheets for staff and projects, and documents scattered across drives. Each tool has its own logins and its own copy of the customer. The client's plan was a single cloud platform that many businesses could sign up to, each with its own isolated workspace, so a small company gets ERP-style order in its operations without an ERP project.
What Netbase built in phase 1
-
CRM
Leads, customers and the sales pipeline in one place.
-
Real-time messaging
Team and client conversations inside the platform instead of in separate chat apps.
-
HR management
Staff records and people processes alongside the work itself.
-
Knowledge base
Shared documentation for teams and their clients.
-
Custom fields and workflows
Each tenant adapts records and processes without code.
-
Work and project management
Projects and tasks linked to customers and staff.
-
API integrations
Connections to the other systems tenants already use.
How the platform is built and run
The platform is multi-tenant: every customer business works in its own workspace on shared infrastructure, which is what lets one product serve many small companies economically. React and Next.js power the interface, Laravel and Strapi the application and content services, and PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB and MongoDB the data, all hosted on AWS. As offshore development and managing partner, Netbase has worked on the platform continuously since 2020 rather than as a one-off project. Our multi-tenant SaaS architecture guide explains the design choices such a platform involves, and the backend platforms and cloud and DevOps stack pages describe the tools.
What came next
A second phase was planned for 2024 to 2026 to extend the platform to retail businesses, with modules such as point of sale, inventory, purchasing, e-commerce integrations, loyalty, finance, reporting and multi-store management. It is described here as the planned retail extension only; this record makes no claim that it was completed.
What the record does not disclose

- Sign-ups, active tenants, revenue or any other usage figure.
- Screenshots, which show interface text, user names and data.
This client platform is separate from Cloodo, Netbase's own digital workplace product.
