An AI-augmented dedicated development team in Vietnam that answers for results

Netbase provides dedicated development teams from Vietnam for product companies and enterprises to add engineering capacity without losing control. Teams of 3 to 30 people work only on your product, use AI-assisted engineering under review, report to a named account manager and project manager, typically start within one to two weeks after discovery, and the IP they create is yours.

A dedicated team is a secondary option at Netbase. We lead with consulting, solutions and custom development, and most of our projects run on fixed-price contracts. Choose a team when your roadmap is open-ended and you need capacity rather than a defined outcome.

What a dedicated development team includes

A dedicated team is a cross-functional group that works only on your product, for as long as your roadmap needs it. You set the priorities; Netbase hires, manages and keeps the team productive. It is the flagship model of our Talent & Delivery family, and it is not a pool of anonymous freelancers.

Included

  • Business analysts, project managers, solution architects, developers, QA and UI/UX
  • A named account manager and project manager
  • Sprint planning, weekly reviews and KPI dashboards
  • Onboarding into your tools, repositories and rituals
  • Documented knowledge base as the product grows

Not included

  • Recruitment onto your own payroll
  • Anonymous freelancers without delivery management
  • Fixed-price delivery of a defined scope, Netbase's default model (see project-based development)
  • Transfer of Netbase's own licensed products
  • A local office or legal entity in your country

When to use it, and when another route fits

A dedicated team works best when the roadmap is long and the product keeps changing.

Good fit

  • A roadmap that runs for many months
  • Priorities that shift as you learn from users
  • A product owner on your side who can give regular feedback
  • A wish to keep the same people and build context over time

Another route fits better

  • A scope you can define in discovery: a fixed-price project, Netbase's default, costs less management
  • One missing skill for a few weeks: on-demand support is lighter
  • No one to set priorities: start with a fractional CTO
  • A need for onsite staff every day

Every route is compared on our engagement models page and in the services directory.

Outcomes and buyer jobs

Buyers hire a dedicated team to:

Add a whole product team, fast

Work typically starts within one to two weeks after discovery.

Keep control of the roadmap

You own priorities; the account manager and project manager own delivery.

Keep product knowledge in one place

The same people stay on the product, and what they learn is documented.

Own what the team builds

The IP created for you in custom development is yours.

Capability modules and deliverables

Proposed roles, seniority and team size for your roadmap

Tool access, working agreements and a first sprint plan

Sprint releases, test results and demo sessions

Weekly reviews and KPI dashboards you can open at any time

A documented knowledge base covering architecture, decisions and runbooks

Team changes planned with your roadmap, within 3 to 30 people

Empty open-plan office with rows of workstations, frosted partitions and plants

Delivery process, team and governance

Dedicated teams follow our six-step delivery lifecycle, described in full on how we work:

  1. Discovery and strategic alignment

Goals, skills, time-zone overlap and the KPIs the team reports against.

  2. Team assembly and architecture planning

We propose the team, introduce the people and plan the architecture.

  3. Agile execution with outcome-based milestones

Sprints start, and every milestone is tied to an outcome.

  4. Modular and productized components

Proven modules are reused where they save time.

  5. Training, rollout and optimization

Releases reach users with training and measurement.

  6. Ongoing support and co-building

The team grows, shrinks or changes skills with the roadmap.

Governance you can see: weekly reviews and sprint demos, KPI dashboards, a dedicated account manager and project manager, and communication over Slack, Zoom and client dashboards, with the backlog in Jira or GitHub where you can check progress at any time. The team is remote-first and distributed by design: it works from Hanoi (UTC+7), in English, Monday to Saturday with Sunday off, with overlap planned around your working hours in discovery. Security by design applies from onboarding: access by role, MFA on admin tools and contributors under NDA.

An AI-augmented team, with engineers accountable

A dedicated team today should ship faster because of AI, without handing decisions to it. We agree in onboarding which AI tools may see your code and data, and every AI suggestion is reviewed like any other change.

How the team uses AI day to day:

  • Code review assistance

Risky changes, missing tests and common security mistakes flagged before a human review.

  • Test generation

Unit and regression test drafts from stories and changed code.

  • Documentation and onboarding

Knowledge-base pages and architecture notes drafted from the code, so context survives team changes.

  • Log and bug triage

Production errors and duplicate tickets grouped so the sprint starts with the right fixes.

AI the team can build into your product:

  • Assistants and AI search over your content and records.
  • Document capture and classification in back-office flows.
  • Recommendations and forecasts from the data your product already holds.

When the roadmap needs deeper AI skills, machine learning or data engineers join the team for the phase that needs them.

Engagement models and commercial variables

A dedicated development team is one of four engagement models, alongside project-based development, on-demand support and fully managed delivery. Most Netbase projects run on fixed-price contracts agreed after discovery; a team's commercial terms are usually a monthly team retainer, or milestone-based or KPI-linked. Onsite work is available on request at extra cost. What moves the cost: team size and seniority, skills requested, time-zone overlap and how long the team runs. We do not publish rate cards; a solution review turns your roadmap into a proposal.

Growing into an offshore development center

When a team becomes a long-term part of your engineering organization, it can grow into an offshore development center (ODC): a larger, stable delivery unit in Vietnam with shared processes, its own knowledge base and several squads working on your products. Netbase has offered consulting and outsourcing services since 2016, and the ODC model uses the same governance as a single team, the same named owners and the same IP terms. Start with one dedicated team, prove the rhythm, then scale.

Technology as an implementation choice

Teams are assembled for your stack, not ours. For new services, data and integrations, they build on our backend platforms; for a new SaaS product, they can start from the SaaS product accelerator instead of a blank repository. Any modules we bring are licensed; the custom work is yours.

Industry applications

Our teams know retail and e-commerce deeply, from checkout and catalogs to the order systems behind them, and they also serve product companies building SaaS and custom platforms, as well as enterprises adding engineering capacity and agencies and technology partners that need a white-label delivery team. Netbase delivers from its only office, in Hanoi, for clients in the United States, Europe and Asia-Pacific.

Retail and ecommerce: AI-enabled storefronts, marketplaces and order operations Retail and ecommerce: AI-enabled storefronts, marketplaces and order operations

Netbase helps retailers and online merchants modernize storefronts, marketplaces and order operations, and adds AI where it pays: search, recommendations, catalog enrichment and order exceptions, with your team approving what shoppers see. Results are published: Geo-Tek IT Solutions grew revenue 36% in the first quarter after its new ecommerce platform launched, and an EU fashion marketplace grew GMV 47%.

Only the ones you approve during onboarding, under your data and security rules. Engineers review every AI suggestion, and you can switch AI assistance off for sensitive repositories.

Continuity is the project manager's job: the handover is planned, and the documented knowledge base keeps product context in the team.

SaaS product accelerator: launch an AI-ready SaaS on proven Netbase modules SaaS product accelerator: launch an AI-ready SaaS on proven Netbase modules

A SaaS product accelerator is a set of reusable Netbase modules for accounts, billing, roles and integrations that helps founders and product teams launch subscription software faster, with room for in-product AI from the first release. Reusing these productized modules can cut development time by up to 60%, and the approach is proven on Printcart, the web-to-print SaaS Netbase built and operates.
